The idea behind our new collection has been deeply personal to us.
Growing up in India, I watched my grandfather wear dhoti. For centuries, this simple, unstitched piece of handwoven cotton has been an everyday menswear clothing in India.
I realised that these textiles can be adapted for modern life and worn by women in the everyday. The organic cotton is breathable and gentle to the skin.
My goal is to inspire women to include this natural Indian textile into their wardrobe—so they feel naturally part of everyday dressing.
For our new collection, We took Dhoti and made it into ready-to-wear womenswear clothing. Instead of leaving the fabric unstitched we tailored it into everyday pieces for women, using the dhoti’s blue stripe to highlight the garments.
When you wear these pieces, you are not just wearing a beautiful design—you are a wearing a traditional fabric, reimagined to your everyday wardrobe
